About Me
Hi, I’m Michael Tedeschi. I’ve been programming for about 16 years now and recently graduated from the University of Rhode Island with a BS in Computer Science.
Over the years, I’ve explored many areas of computer science, but programming has always been what I enjoy the most. I am searching for a software engineering opportunity where I can build and maintain software that makes an impact. It has always been my dream to build software that others find useful and enjoyable.
I believe software should consist of simple, focused components that compose well into larger systems. New features shouldn’t break existing functionality. Software should feel intuitive and frictionless to its users. Careful consideration of edge cases helps prevent ambiguity from becoming bugs. Solving root causes is better than playing Bug Whack-a-Mole. Systems should be reliable and monitored for ensuring optimal performance.
Although programming is often seen as a pretty solitary activity, I think strong communication is essential to ensure that engineers, product owners, and users stay aligned around user needs. Sometimes, hours of unnecessary work can be saved by simply having a conversation with someone about a problem. Two minds are better than one.
I am looking forward to starting my career, and continue to be excited about learning new technologies and building meaningful software.
