### Research Software Developer

University of Rhode Island Nutrition Department - Sustainable Eating Assessment Tool, Kingston, RI

- Collaborated with URI Nutrition Department researchers and two CS teammates to develop SEAT, a dining sustainability assessment platform for recipe search, meal building, and environmental impact comparison.
- Implemented Node.js and SQLite backend functionality for recipe data, sustainability scoring, signed cookie sessions, and Google-authenticated admin workflows.
- Built static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript interfaces supporting public recipe exploration, nutrition and environmental visualizations, favorites, FAQ content, and administrative CSV import/export.
- Containerized the Node 20 application with Docker for reproducible deployment with a persistent SQLite volume.

## Projects

### QED Browser

Swift, SwiftUI, AppKit, WebKit, Combine, Swift Package Manager

- Developed a native macOS browser using SwiftUI, AppKit, and WebKit to provide a focused, platform-consistent browsing experience.
- Integrated WKWebView rendering with SwiftUI state patterns and Combine to synchronize browser state across native views.
- Packaged the SwiftPM executable into a distributable macOS app bundle using a custom shell script.

### Wildfire

Swift, AppKit, CoreGraphics, Carbon, URLSession, OpenAI API

- Built a macOS menu bar AI assistant with global hotkey activation, region-based screen capture, and floating AppKit response panels.
- Implemented PNG screen-snipping workflow using ApplicationServices/CoreGraphics and sent captured images to OpenAI's Responses API for analysis.
- Persisted configuration, API credentials, and response history through local dotfiles and JSON storage.

### Vim BTW

Swift, AppKit, Discord IPC, Unix Sockets, UserDefaults

- Engineered a native macOS menu bar app that detects terminal-based Vim usage and publishes editor activity through Discord Rich Presence.
- Implemented direct Discord IPC over local Unix domain sockets and process detection using Swift Process with macOS command-line tools.
- Replaced a C implementation using a deprecated RPC library with a SwiftPM-based AppKit agent app and custom app-bundle packaging.

### EZ Resume

Flutter, Dart, Firebase, Node.js, Cloud Functions, LaTeX

- Developed a cross-platform resume generation app targeting Android, iOS, and web using Flutter, Material UI, go_router, and provider.
- Integrated Firebase Auth, Cloud Firestore, Analytics, Performance, Hosting, and Cloud Functions for cloud-backed resume workflows.
- Built document generation infrastructure using Node.js 18, CloudConvert, node-latex, and in-app PDF viewing.

### Open Source Contribution - LeetCode CLI

TypeScript, Node.js, Commander.js, Vitest

- Implemented a CLI reset command with LeetCode API integration, filesystem-safe workspace validation, automatic snapshot backups, and language-aware template regeneration.
- Added Vitest unit coverage for success paths, slug support, missing files, unsupported languages, backup failures, path safety, and not-found errors.
